This free media player for Windows supports multiple file formats as well as BitTorrent
(ACE Stream Media) 3.1.0
Windows Vista / Windows 7 / Windows 8 / Windows XP
Ace Player HD is software that is very similar to VLC Media Player, with one key distinction: it also supports BitTorrent.
Some websites refer to Ace Player HD as a "VLC clone," which simply is not true. Ace Player HD's torrent playback makes it an entirely different application. It does, however, have a lot of the same features you love about VLC. These include synchronization functions, a format converter, playlist manager, and more. You can even use VLC skins on this to make it a customized experience.
The only big problem that stands out is buffering speed. When playing a video from a non-local source, buffering can take a longer time than usual. This likely is a bug in the program, and it will most likely be fixed by the development team at some point. Don't let that dissuade you from using it, though.
Just like VLC Media Player, Ace Player HD is completely free to use. It has essentially the same set of features as VLC, although they are not quite as polished as VLC because it simply has not had enough time on the market to iron out all the small imperfections that VLC has. The torrent integration itself works well. An issue for many torrent users is a lack of space to store downloaded movies that are never watched again. This takes that away, and it makes it so that regardless of how fast your connection is, you can start watching your stream very quickly.
So, all-in-all, Ace Player HD does exactly what it promises it will do: play back media and be compatible with torrent links and magnets. There's no harm in trying it, since it's completely free and will only get better. Aside from those small buffering issues, there aren't too many bugs to complain about. Therefore, we're giving this one a 4.5 out of 5.
